************************************************************
In April 2nd and 3rd 1997, Professor Michael C. Geokas spoke at the European Parliament in Brussels on two key topics: a) The European Union and the Migration Crisis and b) Low Fertility and Migration. The first Lecture is summarized in a subsequent publication in the Journal of Political and Military Sociology 1997,Vol 25(Winter): 353-362, which is appended here.
Subsequently, Professor Geokas traveled to Athens Greece and was interviewed by the distinguished TV anchorwoman, Liana Kanelli at MEGA TV (Liana is now a Member of the Greek Parliament). During that remarkable, spirited and rather prophetic interview, which included several brilliant and to the point questions by Liana Kanelli, Professor Geokas, responding in impeccable Greek, and with the self- confidence of a seasoned academic, presented eloquently and in quick succession, a torrent of conclusive Demographic and Statistical data, concerning the detrimental consequences of low fertility for Greek society, and also the inevitable uncontrolled in-migration, which would follow.
This seminal and of monumental significance interview, for the Republic of Greece and for World Hellenism, is made available here on behalf of all Greek-speaking people everywhere. Finally, the watching of this electrifying interview will be equivalent to a crash course on the Demographic problem of Greece and of other low fertility Nations, especially those in the underbelly of the European Union.
